What are The Opal Pages? "The Opal Pages" is a resource of all holistic centres and practitioners in the Region (Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph and Stratford). A small, industry-focused "Yellow Pages", this directory presents a comprehensive list of holistic modalities and the contact information of local practitioners. Available online and in print format, it is a helpful guide to those looking for alternative services.

 
Who can be in The Opal Pages? Holistic practitioners of all modalities (including intuitive modalities), centres, clinics, holistic or alternative retail shops, health food stores, natural health product representatives.

Acupuncture, Angel Therapy, Aromatherapy, Astrology, Ayurveda, Celtic Reiki, Chakra Balancing, Chinese Medicine, Counselling, Crystal Healing, Herbal Healing, Homeopathy, Karmic Regression, Massage Therapy, Naturopathy, Nutrition, Osteopathy, Past-Life Regression, Reflexology, Shiatsu Massage, Tarot, Therapeutic Touch, Usui Reiki, Yoga

This list is by no means exhaustive, but is meant to serve as a guide for the types of Categories to be found in the directory.

How are the listings presented? Listings will be categorized. Healing modalities will be listed separately with a short description of the modality, followed by the practitioner contact information. For example, reflexology appears:

Reflexology:

Reflexology is a therapeutic method of relieving pain by applying controlled pressure to the feet and/or hands. Reflexologists work from maps of predefined pressure points which connect directly through the nervous system and affect the bodily organs and glands. Thus, any part of the body that is the source of pain, illness, or potential debility can be strengthened through the application of pressure at the respective foot or hand location.

Is there a charge? For Business and healing modality Categories, the first 3 listings in The Opal Pages are FREE. Subsequent listings are $5 per category heading. For example, a $10 charge for a practitioner listed under: Massage, Reflexology, Therapeutic Touch, Usui Reiki and Celtic Reiki.

Product Representatives are listed in a Category of their own by product name. Each listing will include a short description of the product and the representatives name and contact information. Listings in this Category are $5 per listing.

Where will it be found? The Opal Pages will be available online and in print format for distribution in June 2012.
